MM: "The city was systematically destroyed, both emotionally and spiritually during the war. People who used to live in it took part in the process of its destruction ... The spirit of the city was destroyed. People who live in Mostar only required the very basics to live—nothing was replaced, and dirty objects were acceptable for everyday living ... This way of life became the inspiration for my artwork."
