Teodoru regularly uses photos of clay or wire models and places them in surreal environments, as in Living in a Box (shown here at the left), adding dusky lighting effects to create his mythical atmospheres.
TB: "I used handmade wire sculptures placed in a cardboard box. I digitally photographed and imported the wire figure in the box into Photoshop where I added the skin, body, and TV elements to the image using layers and blending techniques. I did this to create the illusion that the figure lives in its own world, has its own space in which to act, is able to communicate, and has a unique look. This image in particular deals with the idea of “Big Brother is watching you,” that every step of our lives is followed and we are manipulated through media."
